In 2009 I graduated from Erasmus University Rotterdam as a Clinical Psychologist and in 2009-2010 I participated in the Advanced Research Program. Since 2010 I am working for the department of Medical Psychology and Psychotherapy as a junior researcher and PhD student. In 2011 I started a master in epidemiology. Since 2012 I am also working as a psychologist at the center for Pain Medicine.
My research interests are mainly focused on chronic pain among young people. As a Ph.D. student I study the efficacy of an internet based intervention for adolescents with chronic pain: Move It Now (www.moveitnow.nl). Additionally, I was involved in a project that studied the long-term follow-up of a behavioral migraine training for adults.
Since 2010 I’m involved in teaching communication skills and attitudes to medical students.
