Jurate Aleknaviciute received her MSc degree in Neuropsychology at the Maastricht University in 2010, after completing the bachelor programme of Biological and Cognitive Psychology at Erasmus University Rotterdam. During her study she did her psychology clinical internship at the Department of Psychiatry of Erasmus MC. In the fall of 2010 she started her PhD project on adult attachment and affect regulation in psychotherapy patients. The project is a collaboration between the Department of Psychiatry of Erasmus MC and the Department of Psychotherapy of Riagg Rijnmond.
The research of Jurate focuses on the association between attachment related anxiety and avoidance and psychophysiological functioning in psychotherapy patients.
