Biographical sketch

In 2010, I graduated from Western China Public Health School, Sichuan University, China and became a master student at ScHARR (School of Health & Related Research), the University of Sheffield, U.K. In 2012, I received my Msc in Health Services Management and landed a job in Department of Health Services Management, Guiyang Medical University, China. During the job between 2012 and 2014, I participated in a few research related to EQ valuation and applied my PhD at Erasmus MC. Fortunately, I was admitted to Erasmus MC at 2014 and started my PhD research from September, 2014.

Research interests

My main research topic is health related quality of life valuation in China. Generally speaking, I am going to answer 3 questions about the topic:

1. What are the urban-rural disparities in health-related quality of life in China?
2. Can individuals with a low education (most present in rural areas) validly state their health preferences using prevailing validation methods? Given that it is likely that there are pitfalls;
3. How should existing valuation methods be adapted for use in low-educated populations?
