Biographical sketch

Marten Haanstra studied clinical psychology at the Groningen University, where he received his degree in 2006. Previously he graduated for physical education at the Hanzehogeschool Groningen (2001). He completed his clinical internship at the Royal Dutch Visio under supervision of dr. J.H.C. Heutink, focusing primarily on neuropsychological research on patients with visuoperceptual deficiencies. His research thesis took place under supervision of dr. R.H. Geuze and dr. S. Martens, a study on attentional blink (Working memory capacity, intelligence, and the magnitude of the attentional blink revisited. Martens, S., Johnson, A. (2009) Exp Brain Res (2009) 192:43–52). Haanstra also worked for Delta psychiatric Center (Antes) and the Neurofeedback Institute Netherlands (NIN)/ GGZ Group in Rotterdam and the Hague. He came over to the Erasmus MC in 2017.
